About Antarctica21

Antarctica21 is a pioneer in boutique air-and-cruise expeditions to Antarctica. Their mission is to offer exclusive, once-in-a-lifetime travel experiences while ensuring polar ecosystem safety and premium service at every touchpoint, from online research to final booking.

The Challenge

Despite offering world-class expeditions, their digital presence wasn’t keeping pace. The WordPress site was slow, buggy, and difficult to maintain. More importantly, their existing booking engine, RezMagic, created a fragmented and outdated booking experience that caused users to drop off before completing their bookings.

The Process

We rebuilt Antarctica21’s website and booking system with a focus on performance and user flow. We restructured the site architecture to enhance navigation and simplified the booking process. The website was migrated from WordPress to Webflow to give the team a more intuitive, scalable CMS. Wized and Xano to powered the custom booking logic.

Our first step was a full audit of their booking flow and UX map. Once we uncovered the core issues, we laid out our formula to fix the issue.

Highly Fragmented Journey
Users navigated through 60 disconnected screens with duplicated steps, unclear branching and high cognitive load.

Condensed, Clear Intentional
The entire booking expeirence has been restructured into 3 simple steps.

Users now complete their journey without confusion, backtracking, or unnecessary decisions.

Behind this smooth user experience was over 100 hours of development, testing, and systems engineering. At the top of it, we also reinforced the backend with 3-layer spam protection, Zapier routing, Cloudflare Stream videos, and transactional email loops.
