About PMI Stack

The Brief
PMI Stack helps roll-ups and serial acquirers unify systems after acquisitions. CRM consolidation, data migration, ERP unification - the messy technical work that happens after the deal closes.
The Challenge
The M&A and PMI consulting space is notoriously dull. Serious suits, dense whitepapers, corporate jargon. PMI Stack wanted to stand out as modern and execution-focused - not just another consultancy delivering PowerPoint decks.

Content Strategy

We used the StoryBrand framework to map the user journey - positioning PMI Stack's customer as the hero facing a clear problem (integration chaos), with PMI Stack as the guide offering a path forward.

Key Challenge

Writing for two audiences simultaneously. A Group CEO thinks about board reporting and operational risk. A Head of Integration thinks about data mapping and system architecture. The messaging needed to work for both.

Text says integration is messy, risky, and stressful with icons and captions about M&A bottlenecks and finance black box.

Visual Identity

The Concept

Mesh gradients as a metaphor for unification - separate elements blending into one. This reflects what PMI Stack does: bringing disparate systems, data, and workflows together.

Color & Typography

We chose orange to signal energy and forward momentum. PMI Stack doesn’t  just advise. They execute.

A serif typeface is used for headings to convey authority andcredibility, while a modern sans-serif ensures body text remains clear and highly readable.

Abstract Shapes Over Icons

A deliberate design choice. Standard icons made the site feel like a  generic SaaS product. Custom abstract shapes - like the converging  lines and layered geometric forms - feel sophisticated and unique while reinforcing the "bringing things together" theme.

Logo Design

The Concept

The logo went through multiple rounds before landing on the final mark: a square split down the middle, symbolising two elements becoming one.

Website Build

We designed and developed the Homepage, Contact page, Blog index, Blog template, and eBook landing page (lead magnet) in 5 days using Webflow, focusing on performance and conversion.

Website screens showing integration playbook, technical mastery content, and ERP consolidation guide pages.
Button labeled 'Book a Call' with design dimensions 48 by 80 units.

Lead Capture Popup

A timed popup promoting the free playbook on every page, with cookie-based suppression so returning visitors aren't shown it again for 30 days. Non-intrusive, but effective.

Popup form to download The Roll-Up Integration Playbook with fields for name, email, and company on dark background.
The Playbook

A 70+ page eBook designed to establish authority and capture leads. 8 chapters covering everything from choosing integration levels to the first 100 days post-acquisition. Built from interviews with 20+ roll-up operators.

Full brand treatment throughout - custom charts, visual frameworks, consistent typography.

Distribution

Website drives 65% conversions as the primary lead magnet, while Amazon Kindle expands reach and builds credibility beyond core traffic.

Content Marketing Engine

Each chapter was repurposed into a standalone blog article, interlinked to create an SEO content hub. This gave the site 8 pieces of in-depth content from day one.

Blog page titled Technical Mastery showing articles on integration strategy, execution, operations, audit, and migration.
Webpage titled 'Should You Hire a PMI Consultant After an Acquisition?' with article text and an icon of a handshake.

The Result

Within 2 weeks of launch, the site was ranking for 20+ search queries - notable for a brand-new domain with no existing authority.
